Medical Products Suppliers Association is a non profit organisation that strives to protect the interests, to promote and to coordinate the scientific activities of the affiliated companies. AFPM member-companies cover over 80% of the medical products market and the organization is in constant growth. |

The Member Companies are distributors and/or representatives of the world's largest medical manufacturers, such as: Roche, Johnson & Johnson, Olympus, Nihon Kohden, Greiner, Becton Dickinson, Beckman Coulter, IL, Biomerieux, Bayer, Trinity Biotech, Oxoid as well as romanian manufacturers. |

International Affiliation
AFPM is, since 8 October 2004, a member of EUCOMED (The European Medical Technology Association), being welcomed in Prague at the General Assembly Meeting. We work closely with this organization for a better communication regarding medical market and the international legislation concerning these products. |

AFPM – the Romanian MD & IVD Industries Umbrella-Association
AFPM is the only Romanian organization that managed to impose on the government the payment of 2002 health arrears, topping 225 Million Euros.The internal and international pressure put by AFPM on the government for over one and a half years showed results and, on January 13th 2004, we managed to sign a Payment Protocol from which ALL Romanian medical products companies (including drugs) benefited.The Protocol’s legal basis was Govt. Ordinance No.1 issued in January 2004.AFPM organises and participates at internal and international scientifical activities. The International Fair RomMedica 2003 was the last event we attended together with most of our members. We have established relationships with companies that look forward to join our organisation. |
